Big Questions

I get asked this everyday...

Why fitness?

I chose the industry after having an experience. A young girl approached me with an issue. I was passionate for fitness and currently running a program every Monday afternoon and she became a regular attendee. I saw the impact and that was it for me...

I wasn't necessarily passionate about the industry, the one attachment I had to it at the time was the escape that I had experienced each time I placed my body under stress. Fast forward 6 months post that experience I kind of fell into the industry. An opportunity landed in my lap and I created Bodi Allegiance.

Why youth?

The youth aspect is the unappealing side of the industry. From my experience, it's not the most rewarding nor does it have the best ROI. Youth do not see the importance of placing physical demands on their bodies or their nutrition, they haven't reached a threshold which forces the will to want to be healthy and fit. In most cases surprisingly parents and adults struggle to examine the importance also.

The underpinning value behind why I chose youth, was in line with another experience I had. I lost someone very close to me to cancer, as a result of some life changing choices and decisions in her youth, she died at a young age...
I have made it my life's mission to see that happen to a much smaller percentage of youth. I want to create habits and demands on health and fitness through the plasticity of living the life I dream of, to inspire other young adults to do the same and pave a path for those to either follow in my footsteps or recognise their own unlimited potential.
